Young Women’s Conference @ Brentwood School

11 February 2014 by , No Comments

YWC_logo_final_RGB_TwitterI had a lot of fun and ah-ha moments while video directing/switching for the 1st Young Women’s Conference @ Brentwood School here in Los Angeles. Hosted by Honorary Chair Maria Shriver, this conference was designed to empower young women; for them to take charge of the future in positive ways that influence and inspire others.  Celebrities, actors, olympians and even fashion mogul Diane Von Furstenberg offered their wisdom to the young women!

Advocacy • Entrepreneurship
 • “Breaking the Mold” • Following Your Passion • Giving Back • Identity & Body Image
 • Personal Branding & Social Media Awareness • Relationships • Representation of Women in the Media • Transforming Stereotypes

“Young women today can be significant forces of change—in their own lives and in society.”

St. Monica Church livestream reaches thousands

9 December 2013 by , No Comments

We started with a single camera, 320×240, SD, and a room mic.  A small dream turned into a beautiful reality which I am ever so grateful.  Our humble livestream ministry has grown to a crew of 4 directors, 2 producers and a lotta love!

Emmy Awards livestream for POPSUGAR.com

Emmys2013

It was a blast livestreaming Emmys 2013 Red Carpet feeds and communication systems for San Francisco-based Popsugar.com.  They had an interviewer, producer and camera crew on the red carpet.  Using all IP-based technology, I was tasked with sending their HD camera feed and several Emmy-provided pool feeds back to the Los Angeles studio, along with ordering data lines and connecting our red carpet staff clearcom headsets back to the studio.  It’s exciting to see this technology so much more affordable for blogs and small media companies!

popsugar.com

POPSUGAR delivers the biggest moments, the hottest trends and the best tips in entertainment, fashion, beauty, fitness, and food, and the ability to shop for it all, in one place.  With over 20M users and growing, they have offices in Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, and London.  It’s been an honor to be a part of their production team this past year!

Ustream webinar

Thanks for watching today’s Get Streaming Now webinar, hosted by Alden Fertig @ Ustream.tv HQ in San Fran.  It was a blast!  Ustream has such an easy way to get your own church or school streaming!  Plus they have a support team which is available to answer any of your questions.

Over these last few years, my passion has really dialed-in on helping churches assess where they are, in terms of audio & video technology, and then come up with a plan to move forward in the most economical yet practical way possible.  With so many technologies out there today, it’s easy to get caught up with “the latest and greatest”.  But it’s really about what works for your church, with your group of volunteers/staff and with this pastor and music ministry.

If you’d like to learn more of what we do at St. Monica Church, or how we got started, I’d love to share and learn from one another!  Also I am happy to come assess your church/school and talk with your leadership about options for the future.  Contact Me  @randomhouze
